Wetlands View (2015)

This painting was a huge challenge: the vastness of the wetlands is breathtaking, so I had to choose a feature spot. The autumn grasses were a mix of colours that took forever to capture.

The lady that purchased the painting was the person meant to have it. It had gone to art shows, been in galleries, but hadn't sold. It languished on a dark grey wall at the back of the shop I was working in, until the perfect art lover arrived to take it home.
